YNS Fun Friday Summer Fun

Hey there, friends!

I can't believe it's once again Friday. You all saw my announcement in my last post, right? I can't even begin to tell you how BIG this jump is for me! I'm learning so much about coding and how different the formats between a free blog and a self-hosted site are. I can't want to one day discuss this in some future posts. I'll still be blogging here until further notice, but I just wanted to give you a heads up while I work hard to make my new site better.

In the meantime, I'm here to showcase the Your Next Stamp Fun Friday challenge this month! We are all craving those longer days, warm summer nights and those cold summer drinks - or at least, I sure am. I love me a grandé frappucino during the day and a tasty mojito during the evening. So at YNS, we're kicking summer off a bit early by challenging you to get into summer fun.

YNS - Tasty Tuesday Challenge

Mmmm... It's time for the Tasty Tuesday Challenge at the Your Next Stamp blog!

Here are all the juicy details on Tasty Tuesday so you can play along for your chance to WIN some YNS goodies!!!!    We've fallen in love with Pinterest and have drooled over many yummy photos so this is where we decided to find all of our Tasty Tuesday inspiration!

• The first Tuesday of every month we will present a yummy inspirational food photo for the given month.  This will give you lots of time to play along!
• Every Tuesday the YNS DT will have fabulous and fun projects to share with you as they pull inspiration from the monthly yummy food inspired photo
• You can find inspiration from the photo any way you like... color, texture, an object in the photo, a feeling...anything that inspires you!

Here's my take:

I really wanted to feature the pink, yellow and blue of the photo so those are the colours I chose for my background paper. Similar to the psychedelic feel of the 70s, the paper is pretty busy, too!

TGF's Garden Variety Tuesday Challenge - Sketch

Hey there, friends!

It's my first time hosting the newly revised Tuesday challenge over at The Greeting Farm blog:

Other than the name, the Garden Variety Tuesday will continue to surprise you with a sketch, a color combo and other fun challenges that you can play along with to win a prize.

Cheshire Bean is my favourite of the Wonderland release from last month and I just had to CASE the wonderful idea that I've been seeing of putting her behind the fence and putting her 'paws' peeking up on the fence.

I'm so pleased with the way my projects came out for this release! My first card uses the  Fast Food Fun Die Bundle and the sentiment from the new Awesome Journal Words clear set:

I drew in the little faces and made the perfect combo even cuter:

My second card also uses the Fast Food dies again and incorporates the new Skinny Font set for the sentiment below the coke bottle.

I know the coke bottle looks a bit distorted, but that's what happens you make a shaker card and a use clear strip:
